Friendsgiving

It is no lie, I love this time of year. The end of November and into December. Best. Time. Of. The. Year. For two reasons: Thanksgiving and Christmas. As our little tradition continues, we just wrapped up our 3rd Annual Murphy Friendsgiving {although our guests refer to the event as the Squishtival--not this girl}.In its third year, the numbers and memories have multiplied. Fried turkey, adult beverages, fire, and chaos. Perhaps the most memorable event was the opening, and ultimately finishing, a bottle of Doubleback wine courtesy of Drew Bledsoe {who is God around this crew}.

Tablescape: For weeks leading up to the Friendsgiving, I was collecting bittersweet from locations near my work. I added them in mini milk jars and a vase and added small pumpkins I found at  Michael's.

I covered the folding tables with contractor paper which I picked up at Home Depot {I'll also be wrapping my Christmas presents in this stuff this year}. Instead of place mats, I simply drew them on with a marker.

Matt's friends Phil and Jeff had t-shirts made for the group {thanks guys: note they do say Squishtival on them, but I pretend it doesn't}

Can't wait to see what year will bring.
